How it works
From first fill-up to full picture.
Step 1
Choose your language
On first launch, pick English, Russian or Armenian. A short introduction then explains the basics. You can change the language at any time in Settings, and reopen the introduction from Settings → About.
Step 2
Set up your car
Tell CarLog about your car. You only do this once, and no account is needed.
- Brand and model, plus an optional year.
- Fuel or energy type: gasoline, diesel, LPG, hybrid or electric.
- The current odometer reading, in kilometres or miles.
- Your currency as a 3-letter code, such as AMD, USD or EUR.
You can edit these details later in Settings.
Step 3
Record a refueling
Each time you fill up, tap “Add refueling” and enter:
- Liters and the price per liter — CarLog calculates the total as you type and remembers your last price.
- The odometer reading — pre-filled from your last record so you only adjust it.
- Whether you filled the full tank. Full-to-full records give the most accurate consumption.
- The date and time (defaults to now) and an optional note.
Bought petrol and LPG at the same stop? Tap “Add another fuel” and record both in one refueling, each with its own liters, price and full-tank switch.

Let CarLog double-check
If something looks unusual — an odometer lower than a previous record, an unusually large amount, or a likely duplicate — CarLog shows a warning before saving. You can correct the value or confirm with “Save anyway”.
Step 5
See your consumption and costs
After two refuelings of the same fuel, the dashboard shows your average consumption, this month’s fuel cost, the cost per kilometre and your latest refueling. Until there is enough data, CarLog says so instead of guessing.
Statistics summarise the current week, month or year: distance, fuel used, average consumption, total spent and the number of refuelings, with a consumption-over-time chart. Hollow points mark estimated values.

Review and correct your history
History lists all refuelings grouped by month, with the amount, cost, odometer and consumption of each. Tap a record to edit it; deleting asks for confirmation. Every change updates your statistics and widgets automatically.

Add a home-screen widget
Keep your numbers in view without opening the app. On Android:
- Touch and hold an empty area of your home screen.
- Tap Widgets and find CarLog.
- Touch and hold a CarLog widget and drag it into place.
On supported launchers, CarLog can also offer to place the widget for you.
Step 8
Stay in control of your data
Your records are stored on your device. From Settings you can export them as CSV or JSON, or permanently delete everything with “Reset local data”. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Start your car’s fuel log.
Log your next refueling and let CarLog turn it into consumption, costs and trends you can actually use.
